November 7 - KSCS News You Can Use!

Happy Sunday, KSCS Family!
Did you make good use of that "extra" hour we gained last night? Hopefully we all had a change to get a little bit more rest!
The holidays are quickly approaching and we would like to create food baskets for families who are struggling with having enough to eat. We will be giving away food & supplies baskets for Thanksgiving as well as Christmas. Our goal is to provide 10 food baskets per holiday, and we would love your participation in being the hands and feet of Jesus! We will have a box to collect donations in the school lobby. We need donated:
- laundry baskets/reusable shopping bags to pack-up/deliver food
- canned/boxed food (rice, beans, pasta, sauces, soup, baby food, powdered milk, flour, cornmeal, oil, etc)
- personal supplies (soap, toothpaste, deodorant, toothbrushes, etc)
If you download the Ibotta app, they are doing a promotion with Walmart to provide a FREE Thanksgiving Dinner! All you have to do is download the app and purchase the items on the FREE Thanksgiving Dinner list. If you link your Walmart app to Ibotta, they will refund you up to $26 IMMEDIATELY. If you purchase in the store and pay in the store, you can submit your receipt and they will reimburse you within 24 to 48 hours.
You can learn more about the promotion here: https://home.ibotta.com/thanksgiving/

LUNCHES FROM HOME
Please send with your student:
- Utensils (forks/knives/spoons) & any plates or bowls that they would need
- Condiments (any ketchup/sauces that they would like with their food)
- Fruit/vegetables peeled and cut
Thank you!!
HEALTH SCREENINGS - POSTPONED
Due to a lack of communication with Texas health department and the conference, we will be postponing the screenings until (hopefully!) next week, when we can obtain our screening forms. Thank you for your patience! We need two volunteers to help with screenings - one to escort the students from the classroom to the screening room, and another to be in the screening room with our physician's assistant who will be conducting the screenings. Please let me know if you are available to volunteer.
BAKE SALE - Friday, November 12
It's time to whip out those mixers - November's bake sale is coming up! What tasty holiday delights do you have in store for us? We want to see (and taste!) them all at the bake sale! Can't wait to see you there!
MUSICAL PERFORMANCE AT ARLINGTON SDA CHURCH DFW NORTH CAMPUS (LEWISVILLE SDA CHURCH) - November 13
Our students will be performing a song during the praise & worship on Saturday, November 13 at 11:30am. We look forward to seeing everyone support our students! Invite your family, friends, & neighbors!
ANNUAL THANKSGIVING PROGRAM & LUNCHEON - November 19
We are so excited to bring back our Thanksgiving program and family luncheon! Our program will begin at 10:00am, which will include our Honor Roll awards ceremony for the 1st quarter Honor & High Honor roll students. Our luncheon will begin at 11:00am - weather permitting, we will have our luncheon outside in order to fellowship safely. Please bring your favorite Thanksgiving entree, side, or dessert! The school will provide the drinks!
WE NEED HELP!!!!!
Are you looking for ways to support your child's school but do not know how? Look no further! We desperately need help in several areas! Here are some areas where we can use volunteers:
- Hot lunch
- Lunch supervision
- After Care (on Tuesdays & Thursdays)
- Bake sale (setup, supervise kids, etc)
- Fundraising Events (to assist with the planning and execution of our events)
- Advertising (contacting surrounding churches and community groups regarding events)
- Nap Supervision (for kindergarten)
- Story time (Kindergarten - first grade)
- Office support (making copies, filing, phone support, returning calls)
Please let me know what you would like to help with and we'll get you started right away!
Thank you for entrusting your precious children's education to us - it is an honor that we do not take lightly! We continue to solicit your prayers as we work to provide your student with the highest quality of education as we point them to Christ. We are always praying for you!
God bless,
